THE THEATRE. IT IS A THEATRE. THAT IS WHAT MADE IT USABLE.
MOSCOW, October 26 -- The hostage crisis in the Dubrovka theatre entered its fourth day this morning with the government refusing the demand that Russian troops withdraw from Chechnya, and the hostages still inside the building, where medical supplies began running out yesterday.
There have been reports throughout the week that a large number of the hostages are not hostages but participants. Nobody has explained how that would be arranged, and at least one official has said privately that it is a way of describing a situation nobody wants to define.
